A Proven Pathway. Real Results.
The Red Bulls player development pathway has proven itself once again.
Red Bulls II captured the MLS NEXT Pro Cup, featuring players who began their soccer journeys in Red Bulls Regional Development Schools and Youth Camps. This achievement is more than a trophy — it’s a clear example of the Red Bulls commitment to developing talent from the grassroots level.
From summer camps to RDS to Academy, every step of the Red Bulls Pathway is intentionally designed to develop confident, creative, and technically skilled players — and to support them at each stage of their growth.

A Purposeful Next Step in Player Development
An advanced player’s development requires consistent, high-level technical training. The Regional Development School (RDS) delivers that next step through structured weekly sessions aligned with the Red Bulls playing philosophy. Players are first introduced to Red Bulls methodology through camps and clinics. RDS is where that foundation is built upon, creating a more intentional, demanding training environment that supports long-term growth.
The Standard for Pre-Academy Development
As the first MLS club to establish a satellite-based, pre-academy system, Red Bull New York sets the benchmark for elite youth development in the region. RDS operates as a supplementary training program, enhancing players’ development outside of their team environment. Since 2010, it has become the most successful pathway into the Red Bulls Academy, with over 95% of Academy players progressing through RDS.
A Clear Pathway Forward
RDS sits within a connected Red Bulls development pathway, providing families with clarity around how players progress over time. Players gain exposure to professional coaching standards, a consistent methodology, and advanced training environments — with clear opportunities to move from Youth Camps to RDS, Pre-Academy, and ultimately the Academy. The pathway works.
Who RDS Is For
RDS is designed for competitive and elite travel-level players ages 7–14 who are motivated to train at a higher standard. Sessions are fast-paced and challenging, with a clear focus on individual technical execution, decision-making, and comfort under pressure — key traits of the modern Red Bulls player.
Year-Round Training Opportunities
RDS is offered year-round, with programs available in the fall, winter, spring, and summer. This seasonal structure allows families to choose the training cycle that fits their schedule while maintaining consistency in coaching, curriculum, and development expectations.
