The New York Red Bulls have traded Colombian international Andrés Reyes to San Diego FC, the club announced today. The Red Bulls receive $600,000 in GAM for 2025, $200,000 in GAM for 2026, and retain a percentage of sell-on rights.
Reyes, 25, finished his fourth season with the Red Bulls, where he made 83 MLS appearances and recorded five goals and two assists. This season, Reyes made 23 MLS appearances with 18 starts and logged 1,492 minutes played. He scored the game-winning goal in the Eastern Conference Final against Orlando City SC and became the third defender in franchise history to score a playoff goal.
Prior to New York, Reyes played the 2020 season for Inter Miami CF, where he made 13 starts during their inaugural season. He made his senior debut at the club level for Atletico Nacional in 2018. Reyes was a member of the 2018 Copa Colombia title- winning side.
While with the Red Bulls, Reyes made his Colombia National Team debut on December 10, 2023, against Venezuela U-23’s. He has made two appearances for Colombia, including scoring in a 3-2 win over Mexico. Reyes also featured for Colombian Youth National Teams, which included the U-20’s and U-23’s. He made a total of 14 appearances and scored two goals.
