HARRISON, N.J. (May 13, 2023) — The New York Red Bulls have signed New York Red Bulls II goalkeeper Will Meyer to a short-term loan, the club announced today.
The goalkeeper will be available for the Red Bulls’ home match against New York City FC tonight.
Meyer, 23, has been with New York Red Bulls II this season after signing an MLS NEXT Pro contract in March of 2023. The goalkeeper had the best year of his collegiate career in 2021 with the University of Akron, where he started all 18 games that the school played, registering 47 saves and a 1.06 goals against average with six shutouts. Meyer’s success in 2021 led him to getting drafted in the second round of the 2022 MLS SuperDraft by Nashville SC.
