HARRISON, N.J. (June 4, 2016) – New York Red Bulls II make their first trip to the Lehigh Valley this weekend to face Bethlehem Steel FC on Sunday, June 5. Kickoff from Goodman Stadium on the campus of Lehigh University is set for 4 p.m.
Coming off of back-to-back 1-0 victories, NYRB II will look to extend its perfect road record this weekend. The team is 4-0-0 on the road this season, and will tie it’s road win total from last season with its next road victory.
NYRB II has three road shutouts, and is outscoring opponents 7-1 away from Red Bull Arena.
Junior Flemmings has three goals this season, all game-winners, including the only goals in the last two matches. His three goals this season are tied for the team lead with Brandon Allen and Anatole Abang.
Ryan Meara earned his fourth shutout last weekend in the 1-0 win over the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Meara has allowed just three goals in seven games played this season, posting a 0.49 goals against average and making 14 saves.
Steel FC enters at 3-3-4 thus far in their inaugural USL season. NYRB II won the first meeting between the club, 4-0 at Red Bull Arena on April 10.
