Tim Parker has been named to MLS Team of the Matchday bench following his goal in New York's win over CF Montréal.
Parker scored and helped keep a clean sheet in the victory.
Parker headed in a corner kick service from Emil Forsberg, which was flicked on by Kyle Duncan, at the back post to open the scoring for New York.
"He's very important for us," Head Coach Sandro Schwarz said of Parker. "He's very, very important for us, how he's leading the team in our organization."
Parker scored his first MLS goal of the season and the seventh of his MLS career. It was his second career MLS goal for New York.
Parker and New York will face off against New York City FC on Saturday, September 27 at Sports Illustrated Stadium in the New York Derby.
