Red-Hot Toronto Coming To Play at RBA

Toronto FC, winners of six in a row, will face off against the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena on Friday, May 19.

Goalkeeper Luis Robles said the team knows it’s going to be a “tough task” to face Toronto.

Update: Toronto will be without Sebastian Giovinco, Nick Hagglund against Red Bulls

“When we look at Toronto, we know that we’re going up against a good team,” Robles said. “But if we can learn from our mistakes, and come out with the right start, then I don’t care who we play.

“I know that we can play with the best and be one of the best teams in this league,” he said.

Head Coach Jesse Marsch said Toronto, the best team in the league, are coming in “with a great team.”

“They will be ready to push the game,” Marsch said “They will be flying high. Huge challenge.”

But for Marsch and his team, it won’t be about who they’re facing, but about which Red Bull team takes the pitch.

“But what's the bigger challenge is, this isn't about points and standings right now. It's about identity,” Marsch said. “It's about making sure that the belief system of who we are, what we are, what we do, you know, that's -- that's where we're at right now.”
