New York Red Bulls Academy defender Chris Gloster has been named to the 2016 Youth Boys All-America Team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) as one of the top forty players in the country.
Chris Gloster, a native of Montclair, N.J., is a member of the U.S. U-17 Residency program in Bradenton, Fla. The defender played with the U.S. U-15 Boys National Team in 2015.
In the fall portion of the 2015-16 USSDA season, Gloster started all 11 games for the Red Bulls U-16s before joining the 2016 Spring Residency program. Gloster has been a mainstay for the U.S. U-17 team, and recorded an assist in their last game on November 6.
He also played one game this season for Red Bulls II, starting and playing 87 minutes.
