HARRISON, N.J. (September 18, 2026) – Red Bull New York have added RBNY II midfielder Sekou Kone on short-term agreement ahead of club’s regular season match against New York City FC.
Kone, 19 is in his first season with Red Bull New York II and is coming off his MLS debut subbing into New York’s match against LAFC in the 33rd minute on September 9. In his debut, he recorded the third-most passes by New York from open play completing 72 attempts.
For RBNY II, the midfielder made his MLS NEXT Pro debut in New York’s 4-2 victory over Columbus Crew 2 on March 1. The midfielder made 17 appearances and recorded his first career MLS NEXT Pro assist on July 19 against CT United.
Kone will be available for New York’s MLS regular season match today against NYCFC. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage available on Apple TV in English and Spanish and Red Bulls Radio presented by Sports Illustrated in English via RedBullNewYork.com and the Red Bull New York App.
