Premier Lacrosse League Announces Sports Illustrated Stadium as Host for 2025 PLL Championship Weekend

NEW YORK – March 18, 2025 – The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) powered by Ticketmaster, today announced that Sports Illustrated Stadium will host the 2025 PLL Championship on Sunday, Sept. 14, returning for the first time since the league’s inaugural season.

“Bringing the 2025 PLL Championship to Sports Illustrated Stadium, just outside of New York City, is a monumental moment for our league and the sport of lacrosse,” said Paul Rabil, co-founder and President of the PLL. “New York has been home to some of the most iconic sporting events in American history, and for the first time, our championship will add to that legacy.”

The PLL also announced changes to its playoff format for 2025. Continuing in a two conference structure, the top three teams in both the Eastern and Western Conferences will qualify for the playoffs. The first two rounds of the playoffs will feature in-conference match ups to name a conference champion, culminating in the Eastern and Western Conference meeting in the PLL Championship game. Seeding for each conference will be determined by overall win-loss record.
