  • An early first-half goal gives Club Deportivo Guadalajara a 1-0 lead over the New York Red Bulls after the first leg of the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Semifinals on Wednesday night at Estadio Akron.
  • Both teams will return to play Leg Two on Tuesday, April 10 at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET with coverage on Univision Deportes, go90.com and Red Bulls Radio in English on TuneIN.
  • With a 1-0 deficit heading into Leg Two, New York will need to defeat Guadalajara by at least one goal to advance or a 1-0 score line to force penalty kicks.
  • Following a Red Bulls turnover, Chivas’ Rodolfo Pizarro connected with Isaac Brizuela for the eventual game winner in the 26th minute.
  • New York was held scoreless for the first time in the tournament. The Red Bulls had scored at least one goal through the first four matches of SCCL play.
