HARRISON, N.J. (June 13, 2016) - The New York Red Bulls have agreed to a youth development partnership with Hanover Soccer Club, the club announced today.
As a result of the partnership, the Red Bulls will provide Hanover Soccer Club with a complete club development program. Benefits will include onsite Red Bulls coaching staff, curriculum and REDPrint access, player clinics, team training, coach education workshops, and a preseason training camp. The partnership will involve Red Bulls coaches working with Hanover SC at all ages and levels, which includes over 17 travel teams and an intramural program for players starting at Kindergarten.
“As part of the local Hanover community, we are incredibly excited to officially partner with Hanover Soccer Club and begin the process of developing the next generation of youth soccer players,” said Dave Jervis, Red Bulls Senior Director of Training Programs. “With the club located next to our Training Facility the partnership is a natural fit. In addition to the training programs that we’ll be providing to the players and coaches of the club, we also hope to use some of the unique resources available at our home base to further help develop and inspire everyone connected with the program.”
Training programs will begin early September with partnership preparations and infrastructure development beginning immediately. Players within the program will benefit from the Red Bulls structured and progressive curriculum, delivered through the Red Bulls Building Blocks of Player Development. Hanover Soccer Club will be immersed in the Red Bulls REDPrint, a resource that provides a fully integrated club development program and curriculum.
"The HSC is excited for the opportunity to be able to partner with a very successful professional soccer organization,” said Anthony Coppola, President of Hanover SC. “We have the unique opportunity to partner with a Major League Soccer team that maintains their training facilities in Hanover, New Jersey. The partnership will allow HSC a professional comprehensive training program for all our youth soccer travel players, in-town players and coaches.”
All players will also be challenged to continue their development away from the field with access to Red Bulls skill development videos along with special member only ticket access to watch MLS games at Red Bulls Arena. Located in close proximity to the Red Bulls Training Facility in Hanover, all members of the club will also be invited to participate in training sessions at the training facility and watch practice sessions of the Red Bulls professional team.
