ORLANDO, Fla. – An early Yuya Kubo goal helped FC Cincinnati (2-3-0, 6 pts) defeat the New York Red Bulls (2-2-1, 7 pts), 2-0 on Wednesday night at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. New York has been knocked out of the MLS is Back Tournament.


Following a failed clear, Kubo sent his shot from the top of the 18-yard box and beat David Jensen to the near post in the 43rd minute.


Early on in the second half, a Cincinnati corner kick fell into the back of the net via a Florian Valot own goal to double up the lead, 2-0, in the 56th minute.
