MATCH RECAP, pres. by Provident Bank: Red Bulls Fall in Austin

The New York Red Bulls lost, 2-1, to Austin FC on Saturday night.

New York's lone goal came from a deflection off an Austin player after Emil Forsberg served the ball back in to the box.

Austin scored early into the match before New York equalized midway through. Austin found the winner late, sneaking a ball past Carlos Coronel to earn all three points at home.

Peter Stroud received his fifth yellow card of the season and will be suspended for New York’s next match.

Sandro Schwarz received a yellow card after the conclusion of the match and will also be suspended for New York's tilt vs. Toronto FC.

New York will head to BMO Field on Wednesday, June 25 to battle Toronto FC.
