New York City-native Julian Hall scored the lone goal for Red Bull New York to take home all three points from New York City FC on Friday night, 1-0.
Hall was able to jump on a slowly-paced pass back, round the goalkeeper and slot it into the back of the net.
New York also saw Ethan Horvath stand tall in goal, turning away multiple point-blank shots. The center back duo of Julian Bazán and Tim Parker were dominant at the back.
RBNY's victory secures the Hudson River Derby Trophy for the red side in 2026.
Next up, New York begins a two-match homestand, starting with a matchup against St. Louis City SC for the first-time ever on Saturday, September 26 at Sports Illustrated Stadium.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on Apple TV in English and Spanish, and Red Bulls Radio in English via the Red Bull New York app and RedBullNewYork.com.
