MatchRecap_16x9

For the fifth time this season, a second half goal earned the New York Red Bulls points from a losing position.

This time, forward Cory Burke's header from defender John Tolkin's corner cross leveled the score at 1-1 against Chicago Fire FC at Soldier Field.

New York fell behind for the eighth time in ten matches when Chicago Fire forward Kei Kamara finished his fourth goal of the season to open the scoring.

Burke, who entered the match as a 57th minute sub, found the perfect time to score his first goal for the Red Bulls. Tolkin's cross found Burke's head and was deposited into an open net to steal the point on the road.

The Jamaican international scored his eighth career goal against the Chicago Fire FC in his ninth career appearance against the Fire. Burke has now scored 26 career MLS goals, including 12 on the road.

It was Tolkin's fourth assist of the season, already surpassing his previous career high. His assist total is the most among active MLS defenders this season.

New York remains with just one win on the season and now return home to Red Bull Arena to take on Philadelphia Union on Saturday, May 6 at 7:30 PM ET.
