EAST HANOVER, N.J. (May 11, 2021) – Red Bulls Academy will host the New York Academy Derby presented by BODYARMOR and adidas on Saturday, May 15.
There will be a series of matches putting Red Bulls Academy teams against opposition, New York City FC Academy starting at 9 AM ET. The event will take place at Red Bulls Training Facility, but no outside visitors will be able to attend the event due to health and safety protocols.
Starting at 2PM ET, there will be a livestream available to watch the U-15’s match, followed by the U-17’s playing for the New York Academy Derby Trophy at 4PM ET.
“The players are really excited about the match and it gives us a chance to test ourselves against our biggest local rival,” U-17’s Head Coach Paul O’Donnell said. “It’s a big match, and after this challenging past year, the boys are extremely excited to play for a trophy.”
The winner of the U-17’s match will be presented with the New York Academy Derby trophy.
