The New York Red Bulls (11-11-6, 39 pts.) battle the Columbus Crew (12-6-9, 45 pts.) on Saturday, August 30 at Sports Illustrated Stadium.

This will be the 81st overall regular season meeting between New York and Columbus, with the Crew holding the series advantage with a 34-33-13 mark. The Red Bulls have posted a 2-1-2 mark in their last five matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium against Columbus.

New York have posted an 10-2-2 mark at home this year in MLS play, which are the most wins at home for New York in a single season since 2018.

New York Red Bulls Captain Emil Forsberg has recorded a goal contribution in five consecutive matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium. Forsberg has played in three career matches against the Columbus Crew, where he has scored three goals, including a brace at Sports Illustrated Stadium in October of last year.

The Sundsvall, Sweden native is one assist shy of becoming the fifth player in franchise history to record 10-plus goals and assists across all competitions in the same season.

Following Saturday’s match, the FIFA International Break will run from September 1 to September 9. Following the break, New York will head to Providence Park to face off against the Portland Timbers on Saturday, September 13.
