This will be the eighth overall regular season meeting between New York and Nashville SC with the Red Bulls holding the advantage with a 3-0-4 mark, including a 1-0-2 mark at Nashville.

The Red Bulls are coming off a 7-0 win over Los Angeles Galaxy at Sports Illustrated Stadium, which saw New York tie the franchise record for the most goals scored in a single match.

Forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored his first career MLS mutli-goal game and his six goals scored on the season, ranks tied for first among MLS newcomers. Nashville SC is currently on a four-match unbeaten streak across all competitions.

New York Captain Emil Forsberg joined Antony de Avila as the only players in franchise history to produce multiple goals and multiple assists in a single MLS match, after Forsberg accomplished this in New York’s 7-0 win over Los Angeles Galaxy.

Forsberg has now scored five MLS goals this season, which ranks tied for fourth among active midfielders in MLS this year. Forsberg has one career goal against Nashville SC.
