This Wednesday the New York Red Bulls host Columbus Crew at Red Bull Arena Kickoff is set for 8 p.m ET.

Here are the Keys to the Game, presented by TriHonda Dealers:

Get it Right for 90 Minutes

After the first 45 minutes against Montréal, New York led 0-1 thanks to Patryk Klimala’s penalty conversion. The Polish striker netted his fourth goal of the season.

However the Red Bulls were unable to keep the lead and lost 2-1 in the last minute after a bizarre chain of events that led Montréal to convert a penalty in the third try.

Defender Andrew Gutman gave his take on the current state of the team, as they prepare for a four-game homestand.

“We just have to put 90 minutes together, it’s pretty simple,” Gutman said. “It’s not like we’re getting blown away or something like that. I’ve been on teams that are far worse and we’re not a bad team, it’s just we have to put 90 minutes together, honestly, that’s really all I can say on that.”

The Red Bulls have a 4-2-2 record at home.

Important Homestand Ahead

The Red Bulls won’t have another extensive homestand as the one that’s coming up, so each of the games will be highly valuable.

New York already played against D.C. United and Chicago Fire FC, but they’ve yet to play against the Crew and NYCFC.

Of the Red Bulls five wins this season, four of them have been at Red Bull Arena. One of them was in a game against the Fire, where Cristian Cásseres Jr. and Caden Clark got on the scoresheet.

The Crew on a Four-Game Losing Streak

In their recent game against Chicago, Columbus lost 1-0, and they’re currently in a four-game losing streak.

Columbus are five points ahead of New York in the Eastern Conference Standings.

The MLS Cup defending champion’s leading goalscorer is Lucas Zelarayán with six goals.
