Kaku and Cristian CĂ¡sseres Jr. concluded their national team participations in 2020 with positive results in South America’s World Cup Qualifiers. Kaku scored an important goal that helped La Albirroja grab a 2-2 draw against Bolivia, while CĂ¡sseres Jr. started in Venezuela’s win over Chile.
The New York Red Bulls’ no. 10 came onto the field in the 58th minute when Paraguay were down 1-2. In the 72nd minute he found a ball in the box and with his right foot, Kaku netted his third goal for Paraguay.
During his time on the field, Kaku completed 89% of his passes. After four World Cup qualifying games played, Paraguay has six points and is still searching for its first home win in these qualifiers.
Meanwhile, Cristian CĂ¡sseres Jr. started both November World Cup qualifying matches for Venezuela.
The RBNY midfielder played 90 minutes against Brazil and 78 minutes against Chile. In the 2-1 win against Chile, CĂ¡sseres Jr. completed three tackles, three clearances and one key pass.
