Julian Hall, Omar Valencia Score for National Teams as Red Bull New York Players Feature Across the Globe

Red Bull New York have 10 players that have been called up to represent their respective national teams during this September/October FIFA international window, which will run until October 6.  

Seven of them had their first matches of the international windows between September 24 and September 27.  

Julian Hall and Adri Mehmeti both made their United States senior national team debuts in the USMNT’s 4-1 win over Peru on Saturday, September 26. Hall substituted into the match in the 62nd minute and scored his first senior international goal in the 72nd minute.

The Manhattan, N.Y. native then provided an assist on the United States final goal of the match. Hall became the fifth USMNT player to record a goal and an assist in their debut, and he is also the youngest to accomplish the feat.  

Mehmeti substituted into the match in the 88th minute for former RBNY homegrown product Tyler Adams. Mehmeti is the youngest player in RBNY history to make their debut for USMNT at 17 years, 173 days old.

The Staten Island, N.Y. also became the fifth-youngest midfielder to make their debut in USMNT history. Hall, Mehmeti, and USMNT will return to play when they face off against Chile on Tuesday, September 29, with kickoff set for 8 p.m. ET.  

Mijahir Jimenez, Rafael Mosquera, and Omar Valencia also appeared in Panama’s 1-1 draw against India on Friday, September 25. Valencia substituted on and played 45 minutes of the match, while scoring the game-tying goal, which was his first senior international goal.

Jimenez made his debut for the senior national team; he started and played 68 minutes. Mosquera started and played 45 minutes in the match. Panama will play again on Thursday, October 1, when they face New Zealand, with kickoff set for 2:10 a.m. ET.  

Ronald Donkor earned his first senior international call-up to represent Ghana during this window. Ghana suffered a 2-0 defeat in their first match of Africa Cup of Nations qualification to Ivory Coast on September 24. Donkor did not feature in the match and will be looking to make his first appearance when Ghana takes on Somalia on Tuesday, September 29, with kickoff set for 3 p.m. ET.  

David Ruiz, who has made 10 career appearances for Honduras, did not feature in Honduras’s 3-2 defeat to Suriname in CONCACAF Nations League play on Friday, September 25. Ruiz and Honduras are back in action on Monday, September 28, when they face off against Jamaica. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET.
