The New York Red Bulls are set for the final match of the season, the 2024 MLS Cup, presented by Audi.
Kick off is set for 4 PM ET, with Head Coach Sandro Schwarz making no changes to the roster that won the Eastern Conference Championship last week.
“It's good to have experience in our roster, in our starting lineup, but the most important part is to have the quality and to have the behavior, the right mentality, the right energy every day and to work hard,” Schwarz said. “It's good that we have these characters with experience but that we also have this kind of behavior and mentality with our young players. It's a good mix now to have these and hopefully we can see this on Saturday from the starting lineup.”
Captained by Emil Forsberg, the Red Bulls will also deploy Lewis Morgan and Dante Vanzeir to push the attack.
This will be the 52nd overall meeting between the two sides, with the series split evenly: 21-21-9.
Homegrowns Peter Stroud and Daniel Edelman will anchor the central midfield.
Carlos Coronel starts in goal for New York, with John Tolkin, Sean Nealis, Andrés Reyes, Dylan Nealis and Cameron Harper ahead of him.
Coronel has made 19 saves during this postseason run to MLS Cup.
Cory Burke, Wiki Carmona, Ronald Donkor, Noah Eile, Dennis Gjengaar, Julian Hall, Elias Manoel and Serge Ngoma are available off the bench. Ryan Meara is the backup goalkeeper.
The Red Bulls are the first team since 1998 to win three road matches during a single postseason -- and looking for their fourth.
Felipe Carballo, Kyle Duncan and Roald Mitchell are sidelined with injuries.
