Frankie Amaya is back in the Starting XI after missing matches due to injury. He gets the nod on Wednesday night in Fort Lauderdale, paired with Peter Stroud in the defensive midfield.
This will be the seventh overall regular season meeting between New York and Miami, with the Red Bulls holding the advantage with a 4-2-0 mark.
Cory Burke, Dante Vanzeir, Luquinhas and Wiki Carmona push the attack for New York.
The Red Bulls have posted a 2-1-0 mark in Miami and have gained results in three of their last four MLS matches.
Kyle Duncan also rejoins the Starting XI, alongside John Tolkin, Sean Nealis and Andrés Reyes. Duncan and Reyes return from injury for the match.
Carlos Coronel starts in goal.
Coronel has played in three career matches against Inter Miami CF and has posted two shutouts and recorded three wins. With a start in Wednesday’s match, Coronel will tie Tim Howard for third place in franchise history in games started in goal. The Brazilian has helped lead New York to only allowed 13 goals this season, which ranks the second lowest in the Eastern Conference.
Head Coach Troy Lesesne will have Elias Manoel, Tom Barlow, Lewis Morgan, Cameron Harper, Dru Yearwood, Cristian Cásseres Jr., Dylan Nealis and Hassan Ndam available off the bench. Ryan Meara will serve as the backup goalkeeper.
Omir Fernandez, Serge Ngoma and Steven Sserwadda remain sidelined. Daniel Edelman is away on international duty at the U-20 World Cup.
