On August 7, 16-year-old Adri Mehmeti made his first team debut in the Leagues Cup match against FC Juárez, becoming the latest in a long line of players to go from our grassroots programs all the way to the professional level.
Adri’s appearance was more than just a milestone—it was the culmination of nearly a decade of hard work, dedication, and growth within the Red Bulls player pathway.
Adri’s journey began when he was just seven years old, participating in Regional Development School (RDS) camps and clinics, where his talent and passion for the game quickly stood out. He officially joined the Pre-Academy Team at the U10 age group and has steadily risen through the ranks, showcasing his skill, determination, and commitment to the Red Bulls style of play.

Now, at only 16, Adri has achieved the dream that so many young players aspire to: stepping onto the field in a first team match. His debut is a testament not only to his hard work, but also to the strength of the Red Bulls developmental system that nurtures talent from the earliest stages. Indeed, Adri was one of five RDS graduates in the first team squad vs Juarez, highlighting the incredible strength of the RDS program and impact that it has had in helping to develop the next generation of Red Bulls stars.
The entire Red Bulls family is proud of Adri’s accomplishments and excited to see what’s next as his journey continues.
Congratulations, Adri!
