Concacaf U-17 Championship: Haiti, United States Advance to Semifinals & Clinch Berth to U-17 World Cup

Academy update 12.12

The United States and Haiti U-17 teams have both advanced to the Concacaf U-17 Semifinals -- and also clinched berths to the U-17 World Cup.

Red Bulls Academy's Omre Etienne and John Tolkin are on the U-17 teams for Haiti and the US, respectively.

Etienne did not appear in Haiti's victory over Honduras, which went to penalty kicks to decide the victor. The game ended 1-1, but Haiti moved on via a 4-3 advantage after penalties.

Tolkin was on the bench for the United States' 3-0 win over Panama.

Both teams will be in action on Tuesday for the semifinals, at either 5:30 p.m. ET or 8:30 p.m. ET, with matchups still to be determined.
