BWP Got His Green Card, No Longer an International

Bradley Wright-Phillips

Bradley Wright-Phillips is no longer an International player for the New York Red Bulls.

Head Coach Jesse Marsch confirmed on Wednesday that BWP received his green card during the offseason.

“I was telling him he’s officially an American,” Marsch said. “It’s a good thing for him and his family to be able to live here for a long term.”

The head coach said that while it does open up an International roster spot for the team, they were already in a good place before Wright-Phillips’ status was updated.

“I think, obviously, it helps our roster situation, but we’re also pretty well taken care of from an international perspective,” Marsch said. “We’re not under a crunch there.”

New York currently has one open International spot on their roster.
