New York Red Bulls II claimed its first victory in club history on April 4, 2015 at Red Bull Arena against Toronto FC II, 4-1. In New York’s second game of the season, Anatole Abang scored the side’s first goal in team history in the 8th minute to put Red Bulls II ahead. Later in the first half, Shawn McLaws doubled New York’s advantage with his first professional goal to give Red Bulls II a 2-0 lead at halftime. Following an own goal, NYRB II bounced back with tallies from Marius Obekop and Leo Stolz, including an assist from Red Bulls Academy player Derrick Etienne, to claim three points for the first time in club history.
