HARRISON, N.J. (July 3, 2025) – New York Red Bulls II midfielder Nehuen Benedetti was named MLS NEXT Pro June Player of the Month, the league announced today.
Benedetti hit an incredible run of form in the month of June making four starts, scoring four goals and tallying three assists.
He kicked things off with a one goal and one assist performance in a 5-2 win over Crown Legacy FC on June 4.
The Bosques, Argentina native’s most notable performance came against Chattanooga FC on June 15 when he scored a goal and provided two assists to secure a 5-2 victory. With two assists, Benedetti joins midfielder Ibrahim Kasule as the only players to have multiple two assist games in club history.
Benedetti ended the month strong scoring goals in a 2-1 win over Carolina Core FC on June 21 and 3-3 draw over FC Cincinnati 2.
“I'm very happy to win this award, but it would be impossible without the help of my teammates and the entire staff.” Says Benedetti. “For me, this award is an incentive to continue growing and improving. I'm very grateful.”
The midfielder will be back in action on Sunday, July 6, at MSU Soccer Park, where Benedetti and company will face Huntsville City FC. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET with coverage available on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
