HARRISON, N.J. (July 9, 2025) – New York Red Bulls II (10-3-3, 34 pts) travel to York Lions Stadium to face Toronto FC II ( 6-6-3, 21 pts) on Friday, July 11. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET with coverage available on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV with James Hadnot on the call.
New York stands a top of the Eastern Conference and are coming off their first home loss of the season on July 6 against Huntsville City FC. Midfielder Rafael Mosquera scored his fifth goal of the season in the 26th minute, while midfielder Nehuen Benedetti tallied his sixth assist which is the second-most in MLS NEXT Pro. Huntsville went on to score two goals in the 72nd and 83rd minutes giving Red Bulls II a 2-1 loss.
Toronto sits in ninth place in the Eastern Conference and have won two of their last three matches. The side was last in action on July 6 where they suffered a 5-0 road loss to Philadelphia Union II.
This will be the first matchup between the two sides this season. New York owns the advantage through MLS NEXT Pro play going 3-2. The two clubs last faced one another on September 22, 2024 at MSU Soccer Park. Red Bulls II opened the scoring in the 8th minute when forward Tanner Rosborough gathered a deflection off a cross and buried a shot into the top right corner. New York doubled their lead in the 54th minute when defender Curtis Ofori split two defender and crossed a ball into the box that was headed home by forward Mohammed Sofo to secure a 2-0 victory.
Through MLS NEXT Pro play, six of Red Bulls II’s 11 goals against TFC II have come in the first half. In each matchup at York Lions Stadium, New York has scored three goals. Rosborough leads the charge with two goals against Toronto and has scored in back-to-back matches against the side.
